The devastating fire near the Bedar hamlet, Andalusia, has led to the death of 11 people, most of whom are foreign nationals, according to authorities who have revised the initial toll of 12 deaths. Antonio Sanz, regional advisor for emergency situations, stated that it is impossible to confirm the identities of the victims until the identification process is completed.

Initial investigations suggest that some victims were caught by the flames while trying to flee the area, characterized by difficult topography. Among the victims, four were in a right-hand drive vehicle, suggesting they may be British. Additionally, 19 people are reported missing, and emergency services continue the search. This incident represents the worst toll of wildfires in Spain in the last two decades.
