The French authorities have extended the preventive detention of the commander and second-in-command of the oil tanker "Boracay", a vessel of the so-called Russian "phantom fleet", targeted by international sanctions for illegal oil transport. The ship, which flies the flag of Benin, was detained off the French coast, and French military personnel are still on board. The Brest prosecutor's office is investigating irregularities related to the nationality of the ship and the refusal to comply with maritime authorities, but so far there are no suspicions regarding its use as a "launch platform" in recent incidents involving drones.
