The Embassy of China in Romania expressed gratitude to former Prime Ministers Viorica Dancila and Adrian Nastase for their participation in the military parade in Beijing, dedicated to commemorating 80 years since China's victory in the War of Resistance against Japan. Criticism came from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Lungescu, and the Minister of Defense, Ionut Mosteanu, who considered their presence alongside leaders like Putin and Kim Jong Un an insult to Romania. Nastase replied that he participated as a private individual and did not wish to represent the current political leadership.
