The new Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, announced that his country will not accept to provide guarantees for the financing of Ukraine, emphasizing that it will not invest any money in this regard. Babiš, who will officially take office next week, stated that it is the responsibility of the European Commission to find alternative ways to support Kiev.

This statement comes in the context of discussions among EU leaders about a complex loan plan for Ukraine, which could involve the use of frozen Russian assets and national guarantees. Babiš was clear regarding his position, stating: "We will not provide guarantees for anything and we will not invest any money."
