The weekly survey conducted by INSA, published by Bild am Sonntag, shows that the conservative bloc in Germany, made up of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian Social Union (CSU), has reached its lowest level of popularity in the last five years, with only 20% of voting intentions.
In first place is 'Alternative for Germany' (AfD), with 28% of the votes. The Greens would obtain 13%, while the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and Die Linke remain at 12% each. The Liberals (FDP) would exceed the 5% threshold necessary for entering parliament, while the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance would only obtain 3% and would not succeed in gaining access.
The regional elections in September in the states of Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and Berlin are eagerly awaited, with AfD aiming to achieve historic scores. The survey was conducted between August 10 and 14 on a sample of 1,203 people, with a margin of error of +/- 3.1 percentage points.
