The government in Stockholm announced a war simulation exercise, for the first time since the 1990s, involving the king, the crown princess, and local elected officials. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson emphasized the importance of these exercises in the context of the current security situation, considering the tensions generated by the war in Ukraine.

The exercise focused on measures to maintain Sweden's security, simulating a war scenario. The statement was translated into Russian, highlighting Sweden's concerns regarding Russian threats.

Swedish authorities have decided to significantly increase military spending, allocating 300 billion crowns for defense over the next ten years, in the context of joining NATO in 2024.
