The satellite internet service Starlink, owned by SpaceX, will not exclude Poland from the European roaming area, according to Polish Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski. This follows a protest from Warsaw after Starlink announced new rules that would have affected Polish users.
Gawkowski stated that SpaceX confirmed that Poles will not be treated less favorably than customers from other European countries and that they will not be subject to new restrictions. Previously, Polish users would have had to pay a higher subscription after 30 days outside Poland and present a travel declaration.
Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski urged Elon Musk not to discriminate against Poles. Poland, an important ally of Ukraine, has invested in Starlink terminals to support Ukrainian communications in the context of the conflict with Russia.
