Greece's tourism sector is facing a staff shortage despite a record 36 million arrivals in 2024. Working conditions, such as overworked hours and inadequate accommodation, are causing employees to leave their jobs. Salaries range between €950 and €1,100, but many hoteliers are failing to find staff, with 20% of vacancies. In search of solutions, hoteliers are recruiting from abroad, but efforts to hire refugees have been unsuccessful.
