The incident occurred at the end of Wednesday afternoon when police were called to intervene after gunshots were heard. At the scene, three officers were injured, and one of the seven people transported to the hospital died, while another person died on the spot. The police spokesperson mentioned that the suspect, believed to be the perpetrator of the attack, has died, but the causes of his death are still unknown. The injured officers are in stable condition.

Governor Tim Walz has called for prayers for Minnesota, and FBI Director Kash Patel announced that his agents are participating in the operation.
