On Thursday night Russia attacked Ukraine with 79 kamikaze drones, 44 of which were shot down. The strikes killed nine civilians and wounded 42, including in the city of Kharkiv, where the drones hit a maternity hospital. President Zelenski condemned the attacks on civilians, highlighting the devastating impact on human lives. Civilian casualties also hit a monthly record in June, with 232 dead and 1,343 injured, according to the UN.
