On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Russian bombings hit the city of Odesa, injuring at least six people and causing significant damage in several neighborhoods, according to Ukrainian authorities cited by Kyiv Independent and News.ro.

The explosions damaged residential buildings, and several vehicles were engulfed in flames, said Sehrii Lisak, head of the Military Administration of the city.

Emergency crews are on site, providing assistance to the victims, and authorities warn that the number of affected individuals could increase.

The Ukrainian Air Force issued an alert around 3:30 AM, and the explosions were heard shortly after the warning.

Odesa, a strategic port city, has been a constant target of Russian attacks, intensified this summer due to its proximity to occupied Crimea and the tourist season, affecting port infrastructure and causing casualties.
