Russian armed forces struck the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine with three guided aerial bombs on Monday, October 5. The attack killed at least six people and injured 59, including three children, according to local authorities and the Kyiv Post.
The bombs targeted the Slobidskyi district, hitting an industrial area and a site near an apartment building. The explosions damaged dozens of residential buildings, a civilian enterprise, and at least 20 cars.
The attack caused two large fires, in a warehouse and a production facility. According to the authorities, the flames spread across nearly 15,000 square meters, while teams from the State Emergency Service responded to extinguish the fires and search for victims.
