Russia announced on Wednesday that it shot down 389 Ukrainian drones during a night of massive attacks, particularly on the Leningrad region, where the port of Ust-Luga in the Gulf of Finland was hit. The Russian Ministry of Defense specified that the attacks took place between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, with interceptions in the regions of Bryansk, Belgorod, and Kursk.
At the same time, Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russia, launching nearly 1,000 drones in 24 hours, according to Kyiv. The governor of the Leningrad region confirmed a fire in the port, with no reported casualties, and the port of Primorsk was already hit on Monday.
The Belgorod region also suffered significant damage to its energy infrastructure, causing interruptions in the supply of electricity and water. These attacks come in the context of Russia's largest daytime airstrike since the beginning of the conflict, resulting in eight deaths in Ukraine.
