Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia proposed a package of economic cooperation to the United States, called the 'Dmitriev package', worth 12 trillion dollars. This offer was identified by Ukrainian intelligence services and was reportedly presented by Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian negotiator, in meetings with American officials. Zelensky emphasized that the amount exceeds four times the estimated GDP of Russia for 2025 and suggests a new attempt by Moscow to gain the support of American President Donald Trump.
Zelensky also warned that any bilateral agreements between the US and Russia must not affect Ukraine's interests. He mentioned that the White House had set a deadline of June to reach a peace agreement, in the context of negotiations being stalled on sensitive issues such as territorial control. This situation reflects the complexity of international relations and the challenges Ukraine faces in light of Russia's actions.
