On Monday evening, the Kirkuk airport was attacked with two Katyusha rockets, which hit the military area, slightly wounding two people. A third rocket fell on a house in the Uruba neighborhood, causing material damage but no casualties. The attack was unclaimed and Iraq, which has known instability for decades, seemed to be regaining some calm recently.
