The study conducted by Financial Times shows that users spent, on average, two hours and thirty minutes a day on social platforms, recording a decrease of almost 10% compared to 2022 and a decrease of 25% compared to 2014. This trend is more pronounced among young people. In contrast, in North America, the time spent on social networks has increased by 15%. Experts mention the phenomenon of "enshittification," which describes the degradation of the quality of social networks and the use of AI-generated content to attract users' attention, a process that can facilitate the spread of misinformation.
