The railway operator LTG Link from Lithuania will apply discounts on all domestic routes from April 1 to May 31, as part of an initiative aimed at reducing pressure on family budgets and encouraging the use of public transport.

Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė stated that this measure offers a significantly cheaper alternative to the rising costs of fuels, serving to alleviate the financial burden on citizens and expand mobility options. The Minister of Transport, Juras Taminskas, emphasized that the initiative is especially aimed at young families and elderly individuals, who will benefit from a more affordable option for travel. The estimated cost of the program is approximately 1.5 million euros, and the authorities expect the number of travelers to increase by about 200,000 during the two months of the discount application.
