Poland condemns illegal incursions into the airspace of Romania

The interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Ţoiu, announced on Monday that the head of Polish diplomacy, Radek Sikorski, firmly condemned the illegal incursions into Romanian airspace. In their discussions, they addressed the performance of the Romanian Army pilots, the recovery of fragments of the Russian drone, and the joint diplomatic response to the Russian Federation.

Ţoiu emphasized the importance of strengthening European sanctions and collaboration among the states on the Eastern Flank, considered a priority. She also mentioned the tradition of mutual support between Romania and Poland, which dates back to 1921. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced measures against Russia, including the expulsion of a Russian diplomat, following the downing of three drones of Russian origin.
