A spokesperson for the Polish minister responsible for special services stated that there are indications that Russian secret services are involved in the sabotage of a railway line on the Warsaw-Lublin route, an incident described by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as "an unprecedented act of sabotage." Polish authorities have launched an investigation, collecting evidence and information to identify the perpetrators.
The incident occurred on a route used for transporting weapons to Ukraine, and Tusk promised that those responsible will be brought to justice. The Polish government held an emergency meeting to discuss the attack, in the context of a series of sabotages and cyberattacks in Europe since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Russia has denied any involvement in these acts.
