The Bucharest Court of Appeal announced the organization of an extraordinary press conference today at 12:00, following the revelations from the Recorder documentary. This is the first time that the Bucharest Court of Appeal announces such a conference.

The conference will take place at the headquarters of the Court and will be led by judge Ionela Tudor, spokesperson for the CAB.

The Recorder documentary exposed how the court's leadership would change judges to obtain favorable decisions in corruption cases. It also included testimonies from prosecutors and judges, some having their identities protected, and analyzed famous cases, such as those of Marian Vanghelie and Puiu Popoviciu. Following the release of the documentary, the Bucharest Court of Appeal publicly attacked judge Ionel Laurențiu Bețu, suggesting that he might have been an officer of the secret service, without presenting concrete evidence.
