OMV Petrom and Enery have signed a partnership to develop the Gabare photovoltaic park, located in Byala Slatina, Bulgaria, with a capacity of 400 MW. OMV Petrom will acquire 50% of the shares and will have a long-term contract for 50% of the electricity production. The project will also include a battery energy storage system. The total investment amounts to around €200 million and commercial operations are expected to start in 2027.
