French Admiral Pierre Vandier, the Supreme Allied Commander for Transformation (SACT), warned at the Defense Strategy Forum in Paris that NATO must prepare for the challenges posed by Iran and Russia. He emphasized that the Gulf countries, attacked by Shahed missiles, do not have financial problems but are facing a slow reaction speed and poor strategic choices.

Vandier highlighted the need to find innovative solutions to respond to emerging threats, in the context of mass weapon production by adversaries. He also pointed out that NATO's adaptation process is too slow, with allies taking years to define defense needs. In the face of rapid technological developments, it is essential to allow new players into the defense industry to address current challenges.
