NATO has officially announced the invitation extended to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to participate in the leaders' summit that will take place in Ankara on July 7-8. Mark Rutte, the head of the alliance, confirmed the invitation during a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Helsingborg, Sweden. Although the United States had previously opposed extending invitations to non-NATO partners, including Ukraine, the summit will also include a parallel industry forum, which will feature representatives from non-aligned countries. So far, Zelensky has not officially accepted the invitation, and a European official mentioned that his participation remains uncertain. Additionally, NATO is considering inviting Gulf countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates at Turkey's request, the host of the meeting.
