The Ambassador of Morocco, Hassan Abouyoub, emphasized the importance of adhering to European standards in the field of food safety, considering that the European Union is the main market for Moroccan products. He explained that products are systematically tested for pesticides, in accordance with European regulations, unlike other regions, such as Latin America, where antibiotics are used for animal fattening.

However, Abouyoub mentioned the logistical challenges that hinder direct exports to Romania, where Morocco imports sheep but exports fruits and vegetables through other countries, such as the Netherlands and France. The ambassador highlighted Romania's potential as a logistics hub but stressed the lack of adequate infrastructure. He also discussed the impact of the Mercosur agreement on European trade and emphasized the need to educate Moroccan producers regarding sustainable technologies.
