The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) announced the signing and endorsement of six sanitary-veterinary certificates allowing the export to Libya of live animals and food products from Romania. The initiative creates the official framework for trade between the two countries for distinct categories of products of animal origin.

The certificates cover exports of live sheep and goats, live cattle, meat and offal from sheep and goats, products from the sheep sector, poultry meat, as well as fish and fish products.

The sanitary-veterinary documents establish the conditions that must be met for these goods to be delivered to the Libyan market. The requirements include compliance with animal health, food safety, and product traceability standards.

ANSVSA did not specify the estimated value of the exports or the schedule for the first deliveries.
