Meta shares rose more than 10% after the company reported earnings per share of $7.14, beating estimates. CEO Mark Zuckerberg discussed investing in AI and the concept of "personal superintelligence." Meta invested $14.3 billion in startup Scale AI and expects Q3 revenue of $47.5-50.5 billion. Although the Reality Labs division has been loss-making, Meta is strengthening its position in social media, with 3.48 billion daily active users. This transition to AI has impressed investors, generating a significant surge in shares.
