Iranian intelligence services are said to have sent indirect messages to the United States regarding possible discussions to end the conflict, through a third country, according to sources familiar with the situation. The messages reportedly reached the CIA, however, American officials maintain that there are no ongoing negotiations and that this channel has not generated any concrete discussions so far.
Meanwhile, the administration in Washington is talking about a new, more intense phase of joint operations with Israel, aimed at weakening Iran's missile program and preventing Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons. U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that military actions "have just begun," and congressmen recently informed by the White House have indicated that they have not received any hints regarding a clear plan to end the conflict or active diplomatic initiatives. For their part, Iranian leaders have not publicly expressed a willingness to negotiate.
