Dmitri Medvedev, former president of Russia, called Theo Francken, the Minister of Defense of Belgium, an "imbecile" in response to his comments about possible Russian attacks on NATO. Francken stated that, in the event of an attack on Brussels, Belgium would respond by "wiping Moscow off the map." Medvedev took the opportunity to announce the success of the Poseidon nuclear torpedo test, described as an "apocalyptic weapon." This torpedo, capable of causing a radioactive tsunami, has been successfully tested by Russia, according to Vladimir Putin. Medvedev emphasized that Poseidon has an unlimited range and can carry both conventional and nuclear munitions. The test was conducted from the Belgorod submarine, which is equipped to operate this weapon.
