On Thursday, several websites of the Belgian military intelligence service, SGRS, were targeted by a DDoS cyber attack claimed by the hacker group NoName057. The Belgian Ministry of Defense confirmed the incident on Friday, stating that the impact on the digital infrastructure was 'extremely limited.' The hackers justified the attack by referencing recent statements made by the Minister of Defense, Theo Francken, who claimed that NATO 'would destroy Moscow' in the event of a Russian attack on Brussels. In their message, the hackers advised the minister to avoid such provocative statements.
