The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced the completion of the distribution process by specialties for candidates who passed the Residency exam. Out of the 5,374 available positions in medicine, dental medicine, and pharmacy, 38 positions and 1 post remained unoccupied. Family medicine had the highest number of positions, with a 25% increase compared to the previous year. Other specialties with shortages, such as cardiology and general surgery, had available positions, but hospitals did not offer enough posts for the competition. Over 10,000 candidates participated in the exam, and the younger generation seems to be leaning towards specialties with a more relaxed schedule and opportunities in private clinics. The positions for dermatology and radiology were quickly filled, being preferred by candidates with high scores.
