A man was arrested on Monday after he set fire in front of the Federal Plaza building No. 26 in New York, where a specialized immigration court and other federal agencies, including the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), are located.
The FBI Director, Kash Patel, announced that the individual used an incendiary device, and as a result of the incident, two people suffered minor injuries. In a video shared on social media, police officers can be seen exiting the building surrounded by white smoke, while officers subdued the man on the sidewalk.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of this serious incident.
