During the hearings, the pilot admitted that this was his third attempt to smuggle drugs into Indonesia, agreeing to transport the narcotics in exchange for approximately 10,600 euros. Authorities suspect that he is part of an international drug trafficking network and have charged him with violating Indonesian law. Under Indonesia's strict anti-drug laws, the man faces a death sentence or life imprisonment.
