Nicolás Maduro has decided, by decree, to start the Christmas celebrations on October 1st, a practice aimed at stimulating the economy and bringing joy to Venezuelans, despite the political crisis. The announcement was made during a television broadcast, emphasizing that the measure defends the "right to happiness." This is not the first time Maduro has advanced the festivities, having a similar strategy in previous years, in the context of tensions with the United States.
