Emmanuel Macron, Friedrich Merz and Keir Starmer will meet on Sunday with Volodymyr Zelensky in London

The purpose of the meeting is to intensify efforts to end the war triggered by Russia.

The discussions will begin in a trilateral format between Macron, Starmer, and Merz, and Zelensky will join later. The meeting will allow the leaders to coordinate support for Ukraine and increase pressure on Russia, which is facing failures on the front.

Additionally, progress towards a lasting peace in Ukraine will be assessed. Zelensky has called for a direct meeting with Vladimir Putin, and Macron has emphasized the importance of direct dialogue between Ukraine and the Kremlin. Chancellor Merz stated that there is openness for dialogue from the West.
