Dovile Sakaliene, the Lithuanian Minister of Defense, has urged Spain to move from deterrence to military action, considering the escalation of tensions in the Baltic Sea caused by incursions of Russian drones. During the visit of the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, to Lithuania, she advocated for diplomatic solutions, although she acknowledged the challenges. Lithuania recently obtained permission to quickly neutralize Russian drones, and Robles emphasized Spain's commitment to NATO missions. Donald Trump has stated that NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes that enter their airspace.
