Ionuț Moșteanu, the Minister of Defense, stated that NATO has significantly accelerated in recent months, rapidly adapting to current challenges. Romania benefits from one of the most advanced legislations in the European Union, which allows the Army to intervene against unauthorized flights. Moșteanu emphasized that Russia will not attack a NATO member state, considering the power of the Alliance. Recent discussions have focused on the defense of the Eastern Flank and the support provided to Ukraine. It was also agreed to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP by 2035, highlighting Romania's commitment to security. The priority remains support for Ukraine, which is facing a military conflict.
