The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, will visit the Persian Gulf on Wednesday to meet with regional leaders, aiming to discuss diplomatic efforts to support and maintain the recently concluded ceasefire between Iran and the USA.

The announcement was made by Downing Street, which emphasized the importance of this meeting in the context of stabilizing the region.

Starmer welcomed the ceasefire agreement, considering it a moment of relief for the whole world. He stressed the need for international partners to work together to turn this ceasefire into a lasting agreement and to ensure the permanent reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

During the meetings, Starmer will reaffirm the United Kingdom's commitment to a long-term diplomatic solution, essential for maintaining peace in the region and for stabilizing the geopolitical situation.
