Israel has informed the United States that it is willing to carry out a unilateral attack on the Iranian ballistic program targets, which it considers an existential threat. Israeli officials have stated that, in the event that Iran crosses the red line set by Israel regarding ballistic missiles, they will act without American support. In recent meetings with American officials, the Israeli army presented plans for destroying missile production facilities in Iran, describing the current situation as a "historic opportunity." There are concerns that, in the event of an attack, the U.S. might only launch limited strikes, insufficient to eliminate the threat. On February 11, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with President Trump to discuss nuclear negotiations with Iran, emphasizing that any agreement must include restrictions on the Iranian missile program. Although recent discussions between the U.S. and Iran have been positively assessed, divergences persist, with Iran refusing to negotiate its missile program, considering it defensive.
