Israel and Hezbollah have agreed on a ceasefire in Lebanon

A senior American official announced that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire in Lebanon, which came into effect at 4:00 PM local time. An Israeli source confirmed that IDF troops will remain in the buffer zone in southern Lebanon and will respond to any attacks from Hezbollah.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused Israel of pursuing a "permanent war," following provocative statements from the Israeli Minister of National Security. Iran condemned the Israeli attacks and warned of the consequences for regional security, emphasizing that the United States bears responsibility for the situation. The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that stopping the fighting is essential for the ceasefire agreement.
