On Tuesday morning, Iran launched two salvos of rockets at Israel, according to an announcement from the Israeli army, which reported at least one impact in the north of the country. The attacks occurred shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington had held discussions with an Iranian official, a claim denied by Tehran. The Israeli army activated search and rescue forces in response to reports of the impact, and Magen David Adom released a video showing a damaged building. A man in his thirties was lightly injured by shrapnel, but no other casualties were reported. The army later announced a new series of Iranian rocket attacks, and AFP journalists heard a loud explosion, confirming that Israeli defense systems are in action to counter the threat.
