Intel's shares recorded an increase of approximately 7% after CEO Lip-Bu Tan met with American President Donald Trump, continuing a growth trend that has led to the doubling of the stock value since the U.S. government's entry into the company's ownership in August. Trump expressed the government's pride in being a shareholder of Intel, praising Tan and highlighting the recent launch of an Intel chip manufactured in the USA.
Tan stated that he is honored by the president's support and announced the delivery of the Core Ultra Series 3 processors. In August, the White House negotiated an investment of $8.9 billion in Intel, and the government stake is now valued at approximately $19 billion. This closeness between Trump and Tan represents a change from the previous tense relationship, when Trump expressed concerns about possible conflicts of interest. Tan was appointed CEO of Intel in March 2025, during a difficult period for the company.
