American President Donald Trump announced that he no longer sees the artificial intelligence company Anthropic as a threat to national security, after having a different opinion a week earlier.

In an interview for 'The Axios Show', Trump responded that, although he had concerns, he now does not consider the company or its director, Dario Amodei, a threat. This change of opinion comes in the context of a dispute regarding foreign citizens' access to Anthropic's advanced AI models, Fable 5 and Mythos 5, access that was suspended at Trump's request.

Additionally, the company's specialists will meet with administration officials to discuss the implementation of the new restrictions. Trump mentioned that Amodei reacted responsibly to his directives, but did not rule out the use of exceptional measures in the future. Anthropic stated that it is collaborating with authorities to ensure the protection of critical infrastructure and maintain the U.S. leadership position in the AI field. This dispute reflects Washington's growing concerns about international access to strategic AI technologies.
