Between March-May 2025, 97% of iPhones produced by Foxconn in India were exported to the US, a significant increase from the average of 50.3% in 2024. This reflects Apple's strategy to avoid high tariffs on Chinese products. Exports to the U.S. totaled $3.2 billion, and reached nearly $1 billion in May. Although India benefits from a standard 10% tariff, Apple is ramping up production in India, with estimates that iPhones made there will account for 25%-30% of global production in 2025.
