Martin Jäger, the head of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany (BND), emphasized in the Bundestag that Russia is hiding its military intentions and wants to test European borders, which could lead to a serious confrontation. He highlighted the hybrid attacks from Russia that undermine NATO and destabilize European democracies. Jäger warned that Germany cannot remain passive in the face of Russian provocations, including cyberattacks and air incidents. He also mentioned that the BND has predicted a preparation by the Kremlin for a conventional war against NATO until the end of the 2030s.
