Police in Dusseldorf are investigating a fire on railway cables that caused major delays in rail traffic. The police spokesman rules out an accident and considers the incident a possible act of sabotage. Deutsche Bahn expects the situation will not be remedied before Friday. This is not the first time damage to railroad cables has been investigated on suspicion of sabotage amid growing concerns about protecting critical infrastructure.
