At the 2025/26 World Cup in Holmenkollen, Norway, British skier Gabriel Gledhill provided a memorable experience for fans, even though he did not win any medals. After realizing that he no longer had a chance to compete for the podium, Gabriel decided to join the spectators, accepting alcoholic drinks offered by them. "I had to accept every offer that was made to me.

After a while, I was quite drunk. It was a lot of fun," he said. In the end, Gledhill finished the race in 67th place, 20 minutes and 16 seconds behind the winner, arriving together with the group of women who started the race later. This incident turned the competition into an unforgettable event for him.
