The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that a Russian FPV drone attack took place on Saturday morning in Kherson, hitting an urban minibus and resulting in the death of two people and the injury of another seven, who are receiving medical care. Zelensky emphasized that all the victims were civilians and condemned the brutality of the attacks, describing them as a daily reality in the communities along the front line.
This incident is part of a broader wave of drone attacks on Ukraine, which have also targeted energy infrastructure and residential areas in various regions, including Kharkiv and Mykolaiv. In the past week, Russia launched approximately 1,600 attack drones and used missiles to overwhelm Ukraine's air defense systems.
Zelensky highlighted the importance of international military support and warned that relaxing sanctions could strengthen Russia's war effort. He thanked the countries that contribute to imposing new sanctions against the aggressor.
