The Chinese company Wang Junji, subcontractor for Tod's, is accused of forced labor and the exploitation of employees through very low wages and illegal accommodation. Workers pay 250 euros a month for housing and food, often in cash, under conditions of total dependency. The investigation found that Tod's facilitated these practices through negligence in verifying the supply chain, and the products made under these conditions are labeled as "Made in Romania." Prosecutors emphasize the need for urgent measures to stop this exploitation.
