The mayor of the city of Novorossiisk, Andrei Kravcenko, announced that a fire was caused by the falling debris of drones on the oil depot, affecting technical and administrative buildings. The incident resulted in the injury of two people, and rescue teams are already on site.
The oil terminal in Novorossiisk, a key point for the export of hydrocarbons from Russia, was targeted in the context of reciprocal attacks between Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russian targets, including energy facilities, in response to Russian bombings over the past four years.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the interception of 348 Ukrainian drones on the night from Friday to Saturday. The intensity of drone attacks has significantly increased, with both sides deploying hundreds of drones each night. Recently, a Ukrainian attack on a high school in Luhansk resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people, and last weekend one of the largest Ukrainian attacks occurred, resulting in four deaths in Russia.
