The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs Romanian citizens about the danger of vegetation fires in Sicily, with code red in the provinces of Catania, Messina, Caltanissetta and Enna. Italian meteorologists have issued a code orange heatwave. MAE recommends to inform in advance about the situation in travel areas and avoid traveling in affected areas. Citizens can request consular assistance on the telephone numbers of consulates in Italy and consult the official websites for up-to-date information.
